The Program for Academic-Clinical Teaching (PACT) equips health professions educators (e.g., physicians, physician assistants, nursing, rehabilitation sciences, midwifery) with competencies in clinical teaching.

The PACT consists of:

Nine (9) units of self-paced, self-directed learning on an asynchronous online platform (10-20 total hours)
Five (5) synchronous Hot Topics sessions held over Zoom (10 total hours)*
* Participants attend five (5) Hot Topics sessions to complete the PACT. Participants choose from eight (8) different sessions; all sessions run from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm ET.

* The Hot Topics schedule for 2025-26 is as follows: October 8, 2025, November 12, 2025, December 10, 2025, January 14, 2026, February 11, 2026, March 11, 2026, April 8, 2026, and May 13, 2026.

* NOTE: Hot Topics are delivered in collaboration with the Clinician Educator (CE) program, an Area of Focused Competency Diploma Program accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. While MOC Section 1 and 2 credits can be claimed, individuals who complete the PACT do not receive a CE diploma.
