Focusing on the inclusive cardiovascular and thromboembolic care, this free course aims to address the significant educational gap in educational training regarding the needs of transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) patients.
Despite growing evidence of elevated risks (e.g., VTE, MI, stroke) in this population, faculty often feel underprepared to teach or role-model care in this area. Research shows that discomfort, lack of evidence-based guidance, and curriculum inertia hinder meaningful integration of this content into the teaching environment.
Starting with the initial release of ‘Module 1 - Communication Skills to Mitigate Stigma for Transgender & Gender Diverse People’, this course aims to continue to develop and publish additional modules over time. Registrants will gain free and immediate access to all published modules and will be able to freely access all modules published in the future.
Participants in this course can claim MOC 2 credits.
