Welcome to the September 2025 'Lifestyle and Wellness Health Coach' course, the first of five courses in the Health and Wellness Coach (HWC) Professional Certification Program. Originally developed in conjunction with York University, this program is facilitated by McMaster University’s CPD Office and is a nationally recognized program that equips health professionals with essential health coaching skills. Approved by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NB-HWC), this program offers advanced training in lifestyle and wellness coaching, chronic disease management, cultural safety, and legal issues. Designed for health professionals and international practitioners, it combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience through simulations and interactive learning, preparing participants to deliver culturally safe and evidence-based health coaching services.

Once students have completed the four previous Health and Wellness Coaching courses, they may then express their interest in taking the Evaluative Experiential Learning Module. Once the request has been received, the program manager will determine a date in co-ordination with the learner, the facilitator, and the simulated patient.
